The best way for fashion designers to showcase their collections these days is to open up a flagship store. That’s exactly what Pooja Nair did in Delhi, recently.
A rocking launch party was thrown at the snazzy new store, attracting the city’s glitterati. Catch the celebs looking as hot as they possibly can during the capital’s chilly winter.
Page 3 folk are frequently in the news for their affairs and break-ups. In their fascinating world of razzle-dazzle, multiple dating partners and on- off relationships are humdrum. So, when a popular publishing house for romantic novels held its anniversary party, the socialites had to be there.
With Valentine’s Day approaching, the celebs probably had more reasons to reminisce about their first and current loves.
The cast of Rajat Kapoor’s Mithya recently got together for a pre-release party. Going by the high spirits and celebratory mood, they seem pretty confident about the film.
“You have to have faith in the project you are part of,” says Neha Dhupia, “You need to have confidence in it from the beginning, from the time you read the script.” Ranvir, on the other hand, prefers to see the pre-release party in a practical light, saying, “It’s not throwing a party out of confidence to celebrate. This is so I can meet all the media and tell audiences about the film.”
Ultimately, it’s important that the artists are happy with their work, and Rajat Kapoor has no regrets about his movie. “I have made the film I wanted to make,” he says. “And I’m quite happy with it. If others also like it, I’ll be very happy.” Funny man Vinay Pathak adds, “We’re very confident it’s a quality film.”
The title means ‘lies’ — a word no one is really fond of. But, surely, celebs have to resort to it at times? Watch them talk about how good they are at telling white lies.
After a fairly long absence, former Miss Universe Lara Dutta walked the ramp to display Anjali and Arjun Kapoor’s latest collection. It was the first Mumbai show for the Kapoors, and Lara did a great job alongside other top models.
What was the experience like? “Fantastic,” says Lara. “It’s always a great experience.” Among other celebs present at the show were Divya Khosla, Vidya Malvade, Bhagyashree and Sonu Nigam. Take a look at the beauties sizzling on the ramp.
The Mumbai Festival’s fashion show had some Bollywood glam in store, as two beauties from the filmi world enthralled audiences by walking the ramp. While Sameera Reddy looked ravishing in Neeta Lulla’s bridal collection, Celina Jaitley strutted in Narendra Kumar Ahmed’s eye-catching designs.
The Times of India Mumbai Festival is considered to a cultural feast. While Narendra Kumar Ahmed’s fabulous collection had a Bollywood twist, Neeta Lulla went wild and unconventional, incorporating the essence of everyday Mumbai into her designs. She presented her models as Mumbai’s dabbawallas, police, coolies, watchmen and bus conductors!
No strangers to the ramp, Sameera and Celina were a hit. Now, let’s hope they have some box office hits too, so their filmi careers get back on track.
