Maan Gaye Mughal e Azam Movie Review

Aug 24, 2008 Author: sam | Filed under: Bollywood News

After a rather intense film Mumbai Meri Jaan, Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam seemed like a glass of soda but without the fizz.

If I had one word to describe the movie and the experience of watching it would say - MEDIOCRE. Right from the story, to performances, to music, to the entire film… everything was mediocre.

The story is about a small town theatre company who gear up and save the nation from the bomb blasts.

In an ordinary situation the movie wouldnt have hurt so much but after watching Paresh Rawal excel in his role in the movie Mumbai Meri Jaan, watching him in MGMA was painful. He is an actor par excellence and roles like these don’t do enough justice to him.

On the whole its a fairly watchable film, it may work for many people but it didn’t work for me.

With the phenomenal success of Singh is Kinng, the expectations for Akshay Kumar’s next film, Chandni Chowk to China, is already getting pretty high. However, it seems fans are going to have to wait a bit longer to see the film. Originally scheduled for a Diwali release it now might not be out until December. Director Nikhil Advani recently explained why and also talked a bit about the film including Deepika’s stunts and he surprisingly calls Chandni Chowk a children’s film. Katrina-Salman face to face on Dus Ka Dum

Aug 15, 2008 Author: sam | Filed under: Bollywood Gossips

Salman Khan has entertained many celebrity guests on his Dus Ka Dum show but the upcoming celebrity guest on Sallu’s show is special to him ‘coz its none other than his lady love- Katrina Kaif.

When Salman asked what would she do with the money she will win and she said she would give it to his charity when Salman quickly said, “No you give it to your mum’s charity - Hope Reach,” and then they decided to give it to each other’s charity.

But the beautiful lady found it hard to answer even a single question right and said, “I am going to cry!”

Catch the action between the real life couple on the Dus K Dum show on Sony Channel.

Saif Ali Khan is favorite of the nation, irrespective of his religion but he recently got to know the intensity of Hindu-Muslim fight in India when he was out hunting for a new house. The Hindu housing society was adamant about not selling the house to him because he is a Muslim.

Saif says, “I know there are localities and building societies that won’t sell real estate to anyone who’s a Muslim. I didn’t want to get involved in that problem. I went to a Muslim builder to avoid complications. And it’s not restricted to building societies; it’s there in society in general. Its common knowledge that in certain areas of Juhu and Bandra land and houses are not sold to Muslims. I’m constantly surprised by how much religion matters to some people here. Perceptions of religion are always based on experience or fanaticism. Some elements have spoilt things for the entire community. That’s the sad truth about Islam.” Click Here To Read Compelete Story »
